Why do we teach?

A great post on Ed LeaderWeb pondering the question “Why do we teach?” and one that I find timely given a conversation I had with a long time friend and colleague. We started our first year as teachers in 1996 at the same school and in a visit this afternoon, we pondered this very question. In particular when faced with college friends who make more money in the private sector working for corporate America. Worth a read!
